University Academic Support is located in the Murphy Academic Support Center (Pfeiffer Library Building)
The University Academic Support Office (UAS)/ Murphy Center is here for all Tiffin University students whether you are online, on-campus or a College Credit Plus student still in high school. Our variety of services are designed to give you the support you need, when you need it and in a manner that works for you. We understand that every student and course represent unique situations and our professional and student staff are dedicated to assisting you. We specialize in providing you the individual support that helps you achieve your academic success while building skills and preparing for your future career.
Services offered by the UAS include:
- Free Academic Tutoring both in person and virtually.
- Computers for student use
- E-Tutoring provided by the Ohio E-Tutoring Collaborative
- Free printing
- Study Tables for Student Athletics, Creative Arts Members and Student Organizations
- Advising
- Peer Mentoring
Why Use Our Services?
Students using the UAS/Murphy Center improve their course grades but also learn key strategies and skills that prepare them for future personal and career success. The skills range from time management and organization to specific academic and writing strategies that will serve them well beyond their coursework.
But what if I am already a good student?
About half of the students who use the UAS/Murphy Center have a 3.0 GPA or higher. These students use the Center to maintain their academic standing and develop their existing skills.
The UAS has something for everyone.
Whatever you’re academic standing, no matter how small or how complex the questions is, the UAS has services designed to help you. Our goal is to assist every student where possible. We start with where you are and work to get you where you need to be.
